How to use it

  1. Step 1 of 4: Open the sheet’s settings and go to Budgets. Under At the end of a period, pick Keep nothing, Next period or A goal (then the goal). Only the owner can change this.
  2. Step 2 of 4: Turn on Carry overspending too if an overspent period should make the next one smaller.
  3. Step 3 of 4: A category with a limit for every period can roll over on its own: turn on Roll over beside it.
  4. Step 4 of 4: On Home, the morning after a day you stayed under, Arc may ask “You were ₹320 under yesterday. Add it to Goa trip?” Tap Add or Not now.

Where to find it

On the web

On iPhone

Good to know

  • What rolls over is worked out once, when the period ends. Changing an old entry later doesn’t change it.
  • Don’t want the morning question? Turn off Suggest saving yesterday’s leftover in Your alerts. It’s just for you. After two Not nows in a row it also stays quiet for a week.
