How to use it
- Step 1 of 6: Open Your Arc from its card at the top of Plan, or from Settings: tap your name, then Your Arc under You. After about a month of entries, Home may show How does your money hold up? once. Open it from there, or tap Not now to put it away.
- Step 2 of 6: Answer two quick things: Born in (month and year; Arc never asks for the day) and Where you live and pay tax, so Arc uses the rules for your age and where you live. Rather not say? Tap I’d rather not say and pick a stage instead.
- Step 3 of 6: Arc shows a first look from what you’ve logged, then a few questions for the full picture. Each has I don’t know (a marked estimate) and Skip (Not checked yet).
- Step 4 of 6: Three rings, Safety, Cover and Future, sit on top, with a card for each item below, like Emergency fund, Savings rate, Life cover, Health cover, Retirement and what you’ve saved. Your pension schemes and retirement accounts each have a card of their own, and add into Retirement. Tap a card, then move any number under What if and the result changes at once; Reset to suggested puts Arc’s figures back. Edit shows or hides items.
- Step 5 of 6: Your timeline shows the ages that matter where you live and what changes at each. How we worked this out shows where each number comes from, and Rules and rates lists the published rules and rates Arc uses, with the date they were last checked.
- Step 6 of 6: Your answers lists every answer and where it came from, to change or clear. Under Sheets in Your Arc, every sheet you own or edit counts, and only your own share. Turn off a sheet that isn’t your everyday money, like a business or a trip.
Where to find it
- On the web
- Plan › Your Arc (the card at the top), or Settings › your name › You › Your Arc. Removing it: Settings › Account and security
- On iPhone
- Plan tab › Your Arc (the card at the top), or Home › your photo (top right) › your name › You › Your Arc. Removing it: Settings › Password and security
Good to know
- Your Arc is for people 18 and over for now. In India, Arc keeps a birth month from 18; elsewhere from 13, and Your Arc opens at 18. Your birth month and answers are used only for Your Arc: never shared, never sent to Arc AI, and never shown to people you share sheets with.
- Change Born in or Lives in under Settings › your name › You. To remove your birth month and every answer, open Settings › Password and security (Account and security on the web) › Remove birth month and answers, then tap Remove. What you’ve logged stays. This can’t be undone.
- General information to help you understand your own numbers. Arc did the arithmetic; these are general rules, not advice for you. Rates are illustrative, not a forecast.
