How to use it
1Step 1 of 4: In Arc, go to Settings › Automatic logging › Bank texts and tap Add the Arc shortcut. Add it in Shortcuts, then come back and tap Allow Arc.
2Step 2 of 4: Turn on the automation the shortcut brings, When I Get a Message Containing ‘a’: in Shortcuts › Automation, open it, tap Edit (top right), check Run Immediately is on and Notify When Run is off, and switch it on. Not there (iOS 26)? Make it: tap +, choose Message, leave Sender empty, type a under Message Contains, choose Run Immediately, pick Arc · Bank SMS (Input: Message) and turn off Notify When Run.
3Step 3 of 4: Back in Arc, tap Send a test message to see a sample arrive.
4Step 4 of 4: When a payment text arrives, it waits in Activity under Inbox (“1 payment to log”), and the Activity tab shows a badge. Tap it, then ✓ to log an entry, or ✗ to discard it. Someone pays back marks it as someone else’s to pay. Texts go to your default sheet: to log one to another sheet, tap its sheet pill and pick any sheet that isn’t archived, and Arc fills in the category, subcategory and payment method again for that sheet. You can do this on the website too.
Where to find it

Good to know
OTPs, offers, failed payments and balance alerts are ignored. The text is read on your iPhone. Arc keeps only the amount, the date, who it went to and the card ending, never the message.
If a text may be a payment you already have, your iPhone shows “Possible duplicate of …”. Tap Same payment to keep one, or Different payments to keep both.
Waiting texts expire after 7 days if you don’t log them.
