What Arc is
Arc is budgeting software for the web and iPhone, made by Om Mathur (“we”, “us”). It helps you log your spending, keep budgets and share money with other people.
Arc AI is a feature of Arc. It drafts entries and suggests categories from masked text. Its suggestions can be wrong, so check what you keep.
Arc isn’t a bank. It never connects to your bank, never holds your money, and isn’t financial, tax or legal advice.
Your account
- An account is for one person. Don’t share it.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Keep your email address up to date. It’s how you sign in and how we reach you.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password, sign out other devices in Settings and tell us.
- You need to be at least 13 to use Arc.
Arc Free and Arc Pro
Arc Free costs nothing and has limits, such as 30 bank texts a month and up to 3 sheets. Arc Pro is a paid subscription that lifts those limits and gives you more Arc AI each day. The pricing page shows exactly what each plan includes.
Prices
On the web, Arc Pro is ₹69 a month or ₹699 a year. The price is shown at checkout before you pay, and the price you see is the price you pay. No GST is added.
Sometimes Pro has an intro price for a limited number of people, such as ₹49 a month for the first 12 months, then ₹69 a month, or ₹499 for the first year, then ₹699 a year. Checkout shows the intro price, how long it lasts and the price after it before you pay, and the price after it is the regular price above. An intro price is once per person: changing plan, buying again after cancelling, or buying with a new account on the same email is at the regular price.
Prices in the iPhone app can differ. If a price changes, we’ll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Your free month
Every account can have one free month of Arc Pro, once. You don’t need a card to start it.
If you set up a subscription at the regular price during your free month, your first payment is taken when the free month ends. If you take an intro price during your free month, billing starts the day you pay and your free month ends then. If you don’t set one up, your account goes back to Free at the end of the month.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically, every month or every year, until you cancel. Each renewal is charged to the payment method you set up the subscription with.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time, in two ways:
- In Arc: go to Settings → Arc Pro and cancel.
- In your bank or UPI app: cancel the Arc mandate there.
Either way, nothing more is charged, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
If a renewal fails
If a renewal payment doesn’t go through, we’ll let you know, and you’ll have a few days to fix it. Pro stays on while you do.
If it isn’t fixed by then, Pro ends and your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted: anything over Free’s limits is archived, and you can restore it when you go back to Pro.
Refunds
When you can get your money back, and how, is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Using Arc fairly
Please don’t use Arc to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
- Track someone else’s money or messages without their permission.
- Send spam, or use payment links to mislead or pressure people.
- Try to break into Arc, overload it, copy it, or get around its limits.
- Resell Arc or your access to it.
Your data
What you put in Arc is yours. You let us store and process it only to run Arc for you and the people you share sheets with. How we handle it is in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Arc and to these terms
Arc keeps changing. We may add, change or remove features. If we take away something important from Arc Pro, we’ll tell you first.
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters to you, we’ll tell you in Arc or by email before it applies. If you keep using Arc after that, the new terms apply.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Arc accurate and running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Check important figures before you act on them.
As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, such as lost savings or lost profits, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Ending your use of Arc
You can stop using Arc at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we’ll tell you why first. If we close a paid account when you haven’t broken these terms, we’ll refund the time you haven’t used.
Law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please talk to us first. Most problems are fixed quickly that way. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be heard by the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
